Terms of Use

Effective Date: November 3, 2026Last Updated: November 3, 2026Jurisdiction: State of Wyoming

Welcome to the website of The Prepared Majority ("TPM," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of TPM's public website, website content, public resources, online forms, and other public-facing digital services provided through the website.

By accessing or using the TPM website, visitors agree to use the website in accordance with these Terms of Use and applicable law.

These Terms should be read together with TPM's Privacy Statement, which explains how personal and member information is handled.

01

About The Prepared Majority

The Prepared Majority is a national preparedness Network organized to strengthen individuals, households, TPM Communities, Areas, States, Regions, and the National TPM Network through preparedness, communication, coordination, mutual support, and resilient community organization.

TPM believes in the founding principles of the United States Constitution, individual responsibility, community preparedness, and the importance of citizens being prepared to support themselves, their communities, and the common defense.

The public website provides information about TPM, its mission, preparedness efforts, Network structure, communications, available resources, opportunities to become involved, and methods for locating the appropriate TPM Area.

Information appearing on the public website represents information TPM has determined is appropriate for public distribution.

02

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using this website, visitors agree to comply with these Terms.

If a visitor does not agree with these Terms, the visitor should discontinue use of the website.

TPM may establish additional terms for particular services, programs, applications, memberships, transactions, or restricted systems. If additional terms apply, those terms govern the applicable service in addition to these website Terms.

03

Public Website Use Does Not Create Membership

Accessing the TPM website does not make an individual a member of The Prepared Majority.

None of the following automatically establishes TPM membership:

  • Visiting the website.
  • Using Find Your Area.
  • Subscribing to public communications.
  • Contacting TPM.
  • Attending a publicly available event.
  • Submitting an inquiry.
  • Requesting membership information.
  • Beginning or submitting an application.
  • Communicating with a TPM member or representative.
  • Making a donation, where donations are accepted.

TPM membership is established only through TPM's authorized membership and recruitment process.

04

Membership Is Separate From Website Access

TPM uses a selective membership and recruitment process administered primarily at the Area level.

The public website provides a method for learning about TPM and expressing interest in participating, but it does not replace TPM's recruitment process.

Submitting an application or expressing interest:

  • Does not guarantee consideration beyond the initial stage.
  • Does not guarantee an interview.
  • Does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Does not create member rights.
  • Does not authorize access to non-public TPM systems or information.

TPM reserves the right to administer its membership process according to its applicable organizational policies and procedures, subject to applicable law.

05

Protection of Members

Protecting the privacy, safety, and security of TPM members is a fundamental organizational priority.

Nothing on this website grants a visitor the right to obtain:

  • A TPM membership roster.
  • Confirmation that another person is a TPM member.
  • Member contact information.
  • Applicant information.
  • Internal member profiles.
  • Internal TPM communications.
  • Locations of members not intended for public disclosure.
  • Restricted organizational information.
  • Internal operational or security information.

Attempts to misuse the website to identify, locate, profile, target, harass, threaten, impersonate, or obtain unauthorized information concerning TPM members are prohibited. TPM's handling of member and applicant information is further governed by the TPM Privacy Statement.

06

Find Your Area

TPM may provide a Find Your Area function that allows visitors to enter a ZIP code, city, state, or similar location information to identify the appropriate TPM Area serving that geographic location.

The tool is intended for informational and routing purposes.

Use of Find Your Area:

  • Does not establish membership.
  • Does not constitute an application for membership unless specifically stated.
  • Does not reveal TPM membership information.
  • Does not guarantee the existence or availability of a particular Area.
  • Does not guarantee that an Area is currently accepting prospective members.

TPM may change Area boundaries, designations, organizational structures, or contact procedures as the Network develops.

07

Permitted Website Use

Visitors may use the TPM public website for legitimate purposes, including:

  • Learning about TPM.
  • Learning about preparedness.
  • Finding a TPM Area.
  • Reviewing public TPM resources.
  • Contacting TPM through authorized channels.
  • Exploring opportunities to become involved.
  • Reading TPM public news and announcements.
  • Accessing resources TPM has intentionally made public.

Public access to information does not necessarily grant unrestricted rights to reproduce, alter, redistribute, commercialize, or republish that information.

08

Prohibited Conduct

Visitors shall not use the TPM website to:

  • Violate applicable law.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to TPM systems or accounts.
  • Circumvent website or information-security controls.
  • Probe, scan, or test TPM systems without authorization.
  • Introduce malicious software or code.
  • Disrupt website availability or operation.
  • Collect member or applicant information without authorization.
  • Scrape or systematically harvest restricted information.
  • Impersonate TPM, a TPM organizational unit, or another individual.
  • Submit knowingly false or fraudulent information.
  • Use TPM systems for fraud or unlawful activity.
  • Obtain information through deception or misrepresentation.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or target TPM members, applicants, volunteers, or representatives.
  • Use TPM resources to facilitate unauthorized access to restricted TPM information.
  • Falsely represent membership in or authorization from TPM.

TPM may restrict or block access when reasonably necessary to protect its website, Network, members, systems, or information.

09

Public and Non-Public Information

TPM distinguishes between public information and non-public organizational information.

Information intentionally published on the public website is generally intended for public viewing.

Other information will remain restricted, including information concerning:

  • Member identities.
  • Membership records.
  • Applicant records.
  • Internal communications.
  • Recruiting procedures.
  • Internal operational procedures.
  • Security practices.
  • Network security architecture.
  • Internal capabilities.
  • Facilities.
  • Infrastructure.
  • Internal communications systems.
  • Restricted preparedness information.
  • Internal preparedness standards.
  • Security-sensitive geographic information.
  • Other information designated by TPM as restricted or confidential.

The existence of information within TPM does not create a right of public access to that information.

10

Preparedness Information

TPM may provide preparedness information, educational materials, checklists, recommendations, guides, or other public resources.

Public preparedness information is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

Public information does not necessarily represent the complete preparedness standards, internal requirements, operational procedures, or capabilities maintained within TPM.

Certain TPM preparedness standards and supporting materials are intentionally maintained as non-public organizational information and are not disclosed through the public website.

11

No Emergency Service

TPM's website is not an emergency notification, dispatch, rescue, medical, law-enforcement, or emergency-response service.

Visitors should not use the TPM website to request emergency assistance.

For emergencies within the United States, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.

TPM website availability should not be relied upon during emergencies, disasters, communications outages, infrastructure failures, or other disruptive events.

12

Educational Information and No Professional Advice

Information available through TPM's public website is provided for general educational and informational purposes.

Unless specifically identified otherwise, website information should not be interpreted as individualized:

  • Medical advice.
  • Legal advice.
  • Financial advice.
  • Engineering advice.
  • Security advice.
  • Professional emergency-management advice.
  • Professional counseling.

Visitors remain responsible for evaluating their individual circumstances and obtaining appropriate professional assistance when necessary.

13

Intellectual Property

TPM's name, logos, shields, insignia, graphics, website design, original written materials, publications, organizational marks, and other TPM-created materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other applicable intellectual-property rights.

Unless TPM expressly authorizes otherwise, visitors shall not use TPM branding in a manner that:

  • Suggests TPM endorsement.
  • Falsely represents TPM membership.
  • Falsely represents organizational authority.
  • Creates a counterfeit TPM Area, State, Region, or organization.
  • Creates confusion regarding affiliation with TPM.
  • Misrepresents the source of a publication or communication.

Personal, non-commercial use of publicly available information does not grant ownership of TPM intellectual property.

14

TPM Name, Shield, and Branding

The TPM name, shield, geographic identifiers, Area identities, State identities, Regional identities, and related marks represent the TPM Network.

Use of TPM branding does not by itself establish:

  • Membership.
  • Official status.
  • Authority to represent TPM.
  • Authority to establish a TPM Area or other organizational unit.
  • Authority to recruit on behalf of TPM.

Unauthorized use of TPM branding in a manner that falsely suggests official TPM status may be restricted.

15

User Submissions

Information voluntarily submitted through website forms, applications, inquiries, or communications should be accurate to the best of the submitter's knowledge.

Visitors shall not knowingly submit:

  • Fraudulent information.
  • Malicious content.
  • Unlawful material.
  • Someone else's personal information without appropriate authorization.
  • Material intended to compromise TPM systems.

Submission of information is governed by TPM's Privacy Statement where personal information is involved.

16

Privacy

TPM handles personal information according to its Privacy Statement.

Among other protections, TPM's privacy framework establishes:

  • Member information as non-public by default.
  • Need-to-know access.
  • Least-privilege access.
  • Minimum-necessary access and disclosure.
  • Restrictions on membership rosters.
  • Restrictions on external disclosure.
  • Appropriate account and access controls.
  • Privacy and security incident handling.

Protection of member information takes priority over administrative convenience or unnecessary information sharing.

17

Membership Dues, Payments, and Donations

TPM's website may eventually permit authorized transactions such as:

  • Membership dues.
  • Event registration fees.
  • Donations.
  • Merchandise purchases.
  • Other authorized payments.

Additional terms may apply to individual transactions. A payment does not automatically establish membership or organizational authority unless expressly provided through the applicable authorized TPM process. Where third-party payment processors are used, transactions may also be subject to that provider's applicable terms and privacy policies.

18

Third-Party Websites and Services

TPM may provide links to third-party websites, resources, services, products, or organizations for informational purposes.

A link does not necessarily constitute TPM endorsement.

TPM does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their:

  • Content.
  • Availability.
  • Security.
  • Privacy practices.
  • Products.
  • Services.
  • Policies.

Visitors should evaluate third-party services independently.

19

Availability of the Website

TPM seeks to maintain reliable website operation but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Access can potentially be affected by:

  • Power failures.
  • Disasters.
  • Internet disruption.
  • Third-party service outages.
  • Circumstances beyond TPM's reasonable control.

TPM may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue website features when necessary.

20

Accuracy and Changes to Information

TPM seeks to provide useful and accurate public information.

However, organizational boundaries, Area information, programs, resources, schedules, contacts, policies, website functionality, and other information can change.

TPM may correct, modify, update, or remove website content when appropriate.

Visitors should not assume that archived, copied, cached, or independently reproduced TPM content represents the current version of information published by TPM.

21

Security

Visitors shall not attempt to defeat or circumvent TPM security controls.

TPM may use reasonable technical and administrative security measures to:

  • Detect malicious activity.
  • Prevent unauthorized access.
  • Protect member information.
  • Protect website infrastructure.
  • Investigate suspected security incidents.
  • Preserve system integrity.
  • Restrict abusive access.

Use of the TPM website does not authorize security testing, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or similar activity against TPM systems.

22

Enforcement and Restriction of Access

TPM may restrict website access or functionality when reasonably necessary to:

  • Protect TPM members.
  • Protect applicant information.
  • Protect TPM systems.
  • Protect confidential information.
  • Address fraudulent behavior.
  • Address abusive behavior.
  • Respond to cybersecurity threats.
  • Investigate suspected violations of these Terms.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

TPM's decision to restrict public website access does not constitute a determination regarding an individual's membership status.

23

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TPM's public website and public website materials are provided on an 'as available' and 'as provided' basis.

TPM does not guarantee that:

  • The website will always be available.
  • Website information will satisfy every individual's preparedness requirements.
  • Website services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TPM and its authorized organizational representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the public website.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate rights or remedies provided by applicable law.

25

Governing Law

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal law of the United States.

26

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions should continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

27

No Waiver

A failure by TPM to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not necessarily constitute a waiver of that provision or TPM's ability to enforce it later.

28

Changes to These Terms

TPM may update these Terms as the website, Network, services, technology, or legal requirements evolve.

When material changes are made, TPM will update the Last Updated date at the beginning of this page.

Continued use of the website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
